USTS Call for Abstracts: Deadline Extended to October 6th

The first edition of the Ultrafast Science and Technology Spain meeting (USTS 2015) will take place in the Main Campus of the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas in Madrid, in November 24th and 25th, 2015.

The Meeting has been promoted by the Grupo Especializado de Láseres Ultrarrápidos (GELUR) of the RSEF. The main objective of this event is to constitute the first in a series of Meetings aimed at gathering and promoting the whole Ultrafast Laser Community in Spain. Therefore all senior scientists, postdocs and students working in areas related to Ultrafast Laser Science are strongly encouraged to attend the Meeting.

In this first edition we will have two international plenary speakers along with 12 already confirmed invited speakers selected among Spanish Research Groups, providing a broad panorama of Ultrafast Science in Spain.

Plenary speakers: Helen Fielding (Chem. Dept., UCL, London, UK), Wendell Hill ( Phys. Dept., Univ. of Maryland, USA).

Invited speakers: M.V. Andrés (UV, Valencia), M. Castillejo (IQFR-CSIC, Madrid), A. Dohual (UCLM, Toledo), R. Gonzalez (UGR, Granada), D. Jaque (UAM, Madrid), G. Mínguez (UJI, Castellón), R. Montero (UPV, Bilbao), A. Palacios (UAM, Madrid), L. PLaja (USAL, Salamanca), J. Siegel (IO-CSIC, Madrid), A. Rivera (UAM, Madrid), L.Viña (UAM, Madrid).

Contributed works will be presented in the form of posters and oral posters. We encourage you to submit your best contributions to USTS 2015 in order to have a high-level scientific meeting with a large participation of our scientific and technological femtosecond community.

The scientific event on the 24th and 25th November will be followed by an industrial event (Ultraprecisión Láser: Aplicaciones en Medicina, Industria y Telecomunicaciones)) on the 26th (

Attendants are encouraged to participate in both events.
